If You Meet the Buddha on the Road, Kill Him!

Many Zen sayings in a double-take. At first glance, they are pretty far out and ridiculous, but if their deeper meanings are explained, and better yet actually experienced, can cause deep personal change.

It is for anyone practicing Buddhism, of course, now deeply in debt to the Buddha because of the freedom one attains. It can actually point to the deification of the Buddha and to him as the savior who will help watch over our actions and ourselves with the lifeparticularly those with Christian backgrounds. Unfortunately, it's all in your head.

Perhaps young monks from this kind of transfer of responsibility to cure an imaginary father figure to mention such a thing as Zen master peeing on the Buddha statue, or to show the dropping ash on them, disrespectful manner to how ridiculous it is to . deify The statue is made of bronze or stone, but the ideas that accompany the statue are made of pure illusion, according to Zen masters.

SomeTo prohibit any kind of religious statue or representation of their deity, simply because this issue of idolatry. Some even prohibit, in which God's name out of fear of conception! The trend is too lazy and just worship an idol, rather than transforming the progress of hard work into a spiritual person.

Other religions promote statues everywhere and every kind, as a reminder to be religious. Unfortunately, the statues in a manner to be alivedelusional, more in the center of religion, but of what religion really is, which one is bigger than us with something made. Rather than find inside, where changes are necessary, we look at statues, like deer starring into headlights!

In many parts of the Buddhist statues are plentiful and generally represent the seated Buddha in meditation - just an innocent statue in bronze formed from a mold. But can the last few that take on a life of its own statue. ForFor example, people may say that the statue never moved from her teaching position while he or she moves like a madman all over the place, usually very little completion at the end of everything.

The statue can also show a Mona Lisa smile, where you can never be sure whether or not the Buddha smiles. Some days he seems to smile, and others, not to smile. It can be done with this and see if the Buddha is not smiling or having done something good. . .or is bad. The mind can actually cause the smiling Buddha, or not!

The idea is therefore not to kill the Buddha or his teachings, but to worship the tendency to kill him. The Buddha knew that worship him, the doctor would never clear up, because even if the therapist is entirely given up his own worship, they had not cultivated the wisdom of complete enlightenment. They would not have the insight necessary to have developed on this kind of psychological seeIllusions.

It is much easier to fall into the messenger instead of the message because the message is rarely good news. The news may be good news for the future, but the good news or major changes in our lives require exponentially and big changes always with a few of our comfort zones.

We are quite satisfied with just adore. Still, it is easy and comfortable, and the trouble always truthful or goless greedy and less to do, slander or gossip less, or perhaps less TV and prayed more or less food and give the extra time to those who are less fortunate, or run one of the things that we have of lessening. . . well that will cost burden. Pray very much easier than actually for someone to help them.

How can we help the hungry people in Africa, for example? We enter the church, to help transfer the money abroad. What can we do? Why make the effort to changeourselves, if only money works for some of the trick. Or does it? We hope that since it has to make money for our national idol.

Would you look at African children the same way that we are realistic about their own children anymore. When our own children starve, we would be in the church and hope that it will filter down to them? No, we would drop everything to get food to them. We would be passionate about it. So what's the difference? Is it the distance, the culturalDifferences, eh?

Maybe we can not be responsible for the world because the world is so big, and we can only do so much. And so we pray for others, and we pray for a good feeling for us, and we go to church and sing praises to ensure that we will go to heaven. And we create our little comfort zones.

We barricade ourselves in our cul-de-sacs and held the cross hanging from our necks in the night and prayed for protection against an uncertain world, hiding under our blankets andPray for the rest of the world, how well protected. And peeing on the cross never crosses our minds, not kill Jesus, when we met him on the street. For what would become of us?

What will become of us?
