Koh Phangan is located in the Samui archipelago - a group of about 40 + islands in the Gulf of Thailand. The islands are part of the province of Surat Thani province capital with the same name. The only way to transit and the island is only accessible by boat or ferry, where you can choose between different providers and places on the island at the moment. The Full Moon Party, the events on the Sunrise Beach Haad Rin in the easternmost settlement and most densely populated area on the island. Five to fifteen thousand ravers dance, which is peaceevery month and also provide a large part of the islands of income. Time will tell how the Thais deal with this knife edge.
